Russell and Debbie Brewer
Rev. Russell and Debbie Brewer have served as senior pastors of Emmanuel since August of 2007. They met while attending Olivet Nazarene University. They have served in pastoral ministry for over 40 years. Debbie has been a public school teacher and directed numerous children’s ministry activities on the Illinois District. Pastor and Debbie believe in ministry to all ages. Pastor has served in numerous capacities on the Illinois District for many years and his ministry mantra is “Someone you know needs Jesus!” Pastor and Debbie have two adult children, Jennifer and Aaron and three granddaughters who are the light of their lives.
James and Becky Brunner
Pastor James Brunner has been part of Emmanuel Church serving as Associate Pastor since September 2020. The Brunner’s have pastored several churches and served in various capacities. Pastor James and Becky have four children, Beth, Jimmy, John and Ben. The Brunner’s are a vital part of Emmanuel Church and have servants hearts and desire to see people come to know Christ.
Pastor Jennifer Brewer Wilkerson
Associate Pastor
Rev. Jennifer Wilkerson serves as Associate Pastor at Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene and is a district-licensed minister pursuing ordination as an elder. She is currently studying at Nazarene Bible College and has a heart for preaching, worship, hospitality, and pastoral care. In addition to serving her local church, Jennifer travels with Wilkerson Ministries, sharing the gospel through preaching and music at churches, revivals, retreats, and conferences. She and her husband, Dr. Bob Wilkerson, are the proud parents of twin daughters, Chloe and Hannah who are 11. Together, they are grateful for every opportunity to serve Christ and encourage others in their faith.
